1. Presence of an accompanying adult
Minors may stay in a tourist accommodation facility only if accompanied by an adult (parent, legal guardian or an accompanying adult with a proxy).
Accompanying adults must be identified at check-in with a valid identity document.
2. Necessary documentation
It is mandatory to register each guest, including minors, with a valid identity document (identity card or passport). The data must be communicated to the Police Headquarters via the "Alloggiati Web" portal.
In the case of a minor who is not accompanied by his or her parents, it is necessary to provide a written authorization signed by the parents, with a copy of their identity documents. The authorization must specify that the minor is authorized to stay at the facility.
3. Unaccompanied minors
An unaccompanied minor cannot stay without a written authorization signed by the parents or legal guardian. In the absence of such a document, the facility cannot accept him or her.
Some regions or local regulations may completely prohibit the stay of unaccompanied minors, even with a proxy.
4. Manager's Responsibility
The facility manager is responsible for the correct registration of the minor and for verifying the documentation provided.
It is advisable to keep a copy of the delegation and documents for any checks or disputes.
5. Privacy and data processing
The personal information of the minor and accompanying persons must be processed in compliance with privacy regulations (General Data Protection Regulation - GDPR).
6. Internal rules
It is possible to establish specific internal rules for the accommodation of minors, but these must be clearly communicated at the time of booking or in the facility regulations.
7. Digital or remote check-in
Even for digital check-ins, the rules relating to documentation and delegation for minors remain valid. The documentation must be uploaded and verified before the stay.
